The Shine Sprite is an object that Mario collects in the Super Mario Sunshine game after completing various tasks for each level. Once Mario collects enough Shine Sprites, he can unlock levels to progress through the game - there's a total of 120 Shine Sprites.Shrine Sprites also appear in other Mario video games such as: Paper Mario
